Director of Client Relations

Pat resides in Northern New Jersey as a single mother of six. She has seen firsthand what it takes to bring a child from infancy to adulthood. After graduating from college where she studied english and business communications, Pat secured a position with a major pharmaceutical firm in their personnel department. Because of her people and language skills, within a short time, Pat was the assistant to the Director of Personnel recruiting, interviewing and hiring non-exempt employees on her own.

Pat then married and her children, five boys and a girl, were born in rapid succession, and also had a teenage brother-in-law living with her. Pats husband was in graduate school at that time, therefore, she had to wear many hats and be able to juggle an unbelievably busy schedule in order to manage the household.

By the time all of the children were in school, Pat returned to the work force as a single parent determined to make a place for herself as a successful businesswoman. Knowing that her niche is working directly with people, Pat seized an opportunity to join a young and up-and-coming advertising firm where outside sales afforded her flexible hours that fit in with the kids' schedules. Working her way up in the organization, she realized the great need for working mothers to obtain quality childcare. Because of the numerous travel demands involved with a sales position, Pat decided to look in another direction. When a job opening came to her attention at a nationwide nanny placement service, she felt she would be ideal for the position. After all, she had been in every working and non-working mothers shoes!

Because of her experience in recruitment and extensive sales background, Pat, with the help of her finely tuned people and communication abilities, became the link between families and nannies. After almost 10 years with the company, Pat, as Head Placement Counselor, had limitless insight into the needs of both partners in the nanny/family relationship. With many agency and nanny conferences behind her, she had also learned the necessary skills to astutely deal with the business aspect of managing a nanny placement service.

Because of her vast experience in the industry and the manner in which she naturally relates to people, Pat was recruited by Pavillion Agency to join Margery in the day to day operation of The Nanny Authority. Here she uses her knowledge of individual personalities as well as the field of personal service to properly identify the right combination for each family and nanny. With over 18 years experience in the business, Pat and Margery make a great tandem-you wont find anyone with more expertise to help guide you effortlessly through what can be a difficult and complicated process. Our goal at The Nanny Authority is to make the placement process as smooth and hassle-free as possible.

Director of Operations

Margery is a single mother with a teenage son. After graduating college with a degree in English and prior to starting her family, Margery worked in the insurance industry as an underwriter, honing her investigative skills. She also worked in the computer software industry as a trainer and as an office manager for an architectural firm. When Margery's son was born she took several years off just to "be a mom". When her son reached school age, Margery decided to go back to work, at least part-time during the hours her son was in school. She ultimately knew that she would return to the work force full-time, once adequate childcare was found for her son. Armed with her degree in English and excellent verbal and written skills, combined with her background in Customer Service and investigative training in the insurance industry, Margery was hired by a nanny placement firm to recruit and screen potential nanny candidates. She was responsible for interviewing and screening all applicants and coordinating and writing nanny references. As time went on, Margery secured her own nanny, thus giving her first hand experience as to what working mothers must go through to find reliable, quality live-in childcare. Working full-time, Margery went on to learn about the entire nanny industry in depth. She attended seminars and conventions and began working not only with the nannies but also the families. She had mastered the art of matching the right nanny with the right family, certainly no easy task.

After almost six years of expertise in the nanny industry, Margery was recruited by Pavillion Agency to take the helm of their The Nanny Authority division as their Director of Operations. She oversees the staff and day-to-day management of The Nanny Authority and works closely with Pavillion Agency's main office. Margery's years of experience in the industry and her thorough knowledge of the nanny/family dynamic makes her an invaluable member of the Pavillion Agency/Nanny Authority team. Nannies are comfortable with her caring and genuine nature, and families feel secure in knowing that Margery can guide them through the hiring process with the least amount of stress. She knows what it takes to make a successful placement on both ends which is very reassuring to the nanny and the family.
